Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum
THE BRIEF Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum in Calvert County, Maryland needed a complete interior refresh- one that would reorganize decades of collected community memorabilia while preserving the beloved "grandma's attic" aesthetic that patrons knew and loved.

THE CHALLENGE The museum had accumulated an enormous amount of material over the years, and the existing layout made it difficult to navigate or understand the full scope of the history on display. The design challenge was bringing clear structure and hierarchy to a dense, beloved collection without stripping away its warmth and character.
BEFORE
MY ROLE As Lead Designer on the project through Alpha Graphics, I worked directly with the CBRM curators, community stakeholders, fabricators and installation team to design and deliver the full interior refresh — including wall graphics, an event timeline, 3D silhouettes, information plaques, and object labels.
THE RESULT The refreshed museum gives visitors a clearer path through Chesapeake Beach's extraordinary history while keeping the intimate, community-collected feel that makes the space special.
